Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB), you'll be integral to our
work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. You
will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing DEIB
strategies that position Save the Children as a leader in DEIB
initiatives. Reporting to the Chief People & Equity Officer and
leading a dedicated DEIB team, you will provide thought leadership
and drive practical DEIB efforts while balancing legal,
organizational, and cultural considerations.What You'll Be Doing

be subject to changeDEIB Strategy and Execution (65%)
- Develop and Implement DEIB Strategy: Create and operationalize
a cohesive DEIB strategy across the Agency that includes measurable
goals and aligns with the overall Strategic Plan.
- US and International Programs: Provide strategic consultation,
guidance, and direction for DEIB initiatives across both U.S. and
international programs.
- Global Perspective: Provide strategic leadership, guidance, and
consultation to internal stakeholders across both U.S. and
international regions.
- Integrate DEIB Across Business Processes: Embed DEIB goals and
practices into all Agency processes.
- Stakeholder Influence: Build trusted partnerships with leaders
and key stakeholders.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a DEIB expert, advocating
for inclusive culture.
- Talent Integration: Work with the talent team to embed DEIB
principles into hiring, development, and retention practices.
- Metrics and Accountability: Develop and implement DEIB metrics,
providing regular dashboard reports.
- Policy Evaluation: Regularly assess and refine policies and
procedures with a DEIB perspective.
- Communications: Act as the Agency spokesperson on DEIB in
absence of Chief People & Equity Officer.DEIB Council and Employee
Affinity Groups (20%)
- Affinity Group Leadership: Champion Save the Children's
affinity groups.Leadership and Team Management (10%)
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and manage the DEIB team.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with
cross-functional teams.
- Staff Development: Train, develop, coach, and supervise
staff.Compliance and Risk Management (5%)
- Regulatory Reporting: Oversee data collection for Affirmative
Action and EEO-1 reports.Required Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Minimum of a bachelor's degree or
equivalent experience, with at least 10 years in DEIB or relevant
roles.
- Proven DEIB Impact: Experience embedding DEIB into the culture
of a mission-driven, global organization.
- Executive Advisor: Skilled at advising senior leaders on DEIB
strategies.
- DEIB Program Leadership: Experience managing DEIB teams and
initiatives.
- Global Perspective: Respect for cultural differences in
international contexts.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in DEIB metrics and
analysis.
- Communication: Proficient in MS Office; fluent in spoken and
written English.
- Commitment to DEIB: Dedication to creating an environment that
fosters diversity, equity, inclusion, and
belonging.CompensationSave the Children offers salary ranges for
this position, dependent on candidate location:
- Geo 1: $131,750 - $147,250
- Geo 2: $119,850 - $133,950
