Job SummaryThe Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible
for the success of assigned functions within a fast-paced and
complex distribution center environment. As a strategic partner to
the General Manager, the AGM helps develop and execute strategies
to maximize productivity, optimize operational efficiency, and
manage expenses effectively. This role is critical in driving
operational excellence across the distribution center while
fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous
improvement. The AGM also plays a pivotal role in developing and
mentoring leadership talent within the DC team, ensuring alignment
with organizational goals and long-term success.Job

- Strategic Planning and Adaptation
- Develop and implement strategies to proactively address
business challenges and evolving trends.
- Analyze variances between forecasts and actual trends,
adjusting plans accordingly to ensure operational readiness.
- Regularly review goals, plans, and strategies to maintain
alignment with dynamic business needs, ensuring high performance
across all distribution center (DC) functions.
- Operational Management
- Establish clear goals, allocate resources, and implement
effective controls to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs),
standards, budgets, and operational targets.
- Support operational excellence by ensuring adherence to
divisional processes and procedures while identifying and
eliminating inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that
merchandise flow aligns with store needs, meeting or exceeding
budgetary goals.
- AGM has oversight over multiple shifts and may need to adjust
working hours for direction and guidance.
- Facility Oversight and Safety
- Assist in overseeing facility operations to ensure that all
equipment and infrastructure function optimally to support business
demands.
- Champion safety by creating and maintaining an organized,
clean, and hazard-free workplace.
- Process Improvement
- Lead and mentor the management team in identifying and
executing process improvements using Lean principles and other
continuous improvement methodologies.
- Encourage innovation and foster a culture of problem-solving to
enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve team
satisfaction.

operational standards, ensuring alignment across all levels of the
distribution center (DC).

conditions.Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in a
high-paced operational role, including but not limited to
warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment center or supply chain
management OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 7 years of
experience in a high-paced operational role, including but not
limited to warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment center or
supply chain management.
- Experience owning quality and efficiency KPIs and scheduling a
large workforce.
- Experience leading and facilitating cross-functional
teams.
- Experience building and maintaining cross-functional working
relationships.
- Experience managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting
and distribution execution.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial
decisions in the workplace.
- At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership
and/or cross- functional team leadership.Preferred Qualifications
- Business degree in Logistics or Supply Chain.
- At least 2 years of experience working with automated systems
(RF technology, WMS, conveyor and sortation).
- At least 1 year of Lean experience in a manufacturing or
Logistics environment.
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft 365 applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint)
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Access (for example:
designing and creating simple queries, modifying data types, adding
dates, working with required fields and/or creating labels).We will
consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and
conviction records.Salary Range$116550 - $192045 / Salaried
