• Employment Type: TravelWe are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift schedule (3x12 hours per week) in Grass Valley, California. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with expertise in labor, delivery, and postpartum care in an acute care setting.
  
  Roles and Responsibilities:
  Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
  Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and labor progression to ensure safe deliveries.
  Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and emergency obstetric interventions.
  Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidurals as required.
  Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding support.
  Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR and follow hospital protocols.
  Work within established patient ratios: L&D (1:2, 1:1 for active delivery), Mother-Baby (1:4 couplets).
  Collaborate with the charge nurse, who provides break relief but generally does not take patients.
  
  Requirements:
  Experience: Minimum 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience required.
  Licensure: Active California RN license.
  Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), BLS, NRP, and STABLE Certification required.
  Technology: Cerner EMR experience preferred.
