  • Job Details
  • ED Holds (Tele RN) position at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, California.
  • Need Tele RN to care for patients recently released from the ED that are waiting for a bed.
  • Unit has 20 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4.
  • Common diagnoses include COVID, Flu, respiratory illnesses, chest pain, shortness of breath, hypertension, weakness, altered level of consciousness, urinary tract infections, and sepsis.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have MSTele or step-down experience.
    • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
    • Candidates need 2 supervisor references (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 within 12 months and 1 within 3 years worked.
      • Schedule Information
      • Self-scheduling is used but finalized by the manager.
      • Schedules are out 4 weeks in advance.
      • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
      • Holiday requirement: Rotate with core staff.
      • No call or standby requirement.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit requires at least a full shift (12 hours) for department-specific orientation.
        • Tele on the unit; RNs need to be able to read strips.
          • Additional Details
          • Modules are required to be completed before start; they take 3-4 hours and are not billable.
          • Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit within the past year.
          • Dys exam through UNA is required prior to acceptance, must be completed within 24-48 hours.
