About the JobECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced
marketing professional to fill a new position, Director of Forward
Planning and Business Development. Reporting directly to the
President and CEO, the successful candidate will collaborate with
the Director of Marketing Systems and other senior managers and
will play a critical leadership role in shaping the strategic
growth trajectory of the company. This position is responsible for
identifying and developing new business opportunities, analyzing
market trends, and executing long-term strategies to ensure the
company's continued success in an ever-changing competitive
landscape. This position will collaborate across departments, work
closely with senior leadership, and guide ECORP's expansion into
new markets, products, and services.Responsibilities will include
the following:
- Lead the development and execution of long-term strategic plans
to drive sustainable business growth.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and business
models to accelerate growth.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive
landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with the executive team to define and refine the
company's vision and business objectives.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, potential partners,
and industry influencers to support business development.
- Oversee and manage the company's outward-facing presence
including but not limited to conference attendance and sponsorship,
advertising, social media, and similar programs.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential business
opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Guide, mentor, and support the business development team to
ensure efficient execution of strategies and continuous
improvement.
- Monitor key performance metrics and make data-driven
recommendations to adjust strategies as needed.
- In conjunction with senior leadership, develop a firmwide
annual marketing and business development plan, including reviewing
annual sales goals for departments and individuals.
- Oversee annual organizational budget development for marketing
and business development.
- Develop business development and marketing training
programs.
- Mentor senior technical staff and above in marketing and
business development activities.
- Report progress against goals regularly and share insights
regarding market factors and current business practices to
management team.Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or
related field.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience or equivalent;
experience in the A/E/C industry is strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time within California and to
select markets out of state.
- Ability to work in-person in one of ECORP's five California
offices (Chico, Rocklin, Redlands, Irvine, or San Diego); hybrid
work may be negotiated.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with all
levels of staff within the company.Our base full-time annual salary
range is $100,000 to $175,000. Starting salary is determined by
relevant experience, education, certifications, geographic
location, internal equity, and market conditions. ECORP Consulting
